Anechoic room
The institute’s anechoic room is one of the latest nationwide. Because of its dimensions, equipment and frequency range precise acoustical measurements and listening tests can be taken.
- raw building dimensions: 12 meters length, 7,5 meters width, 9,5 meters height
- accuracy class 1 (according to DIN EN ISO 3745)
- lower threshold 63 Hz, upper threshold 20 kHz
- turning device for the measurement of the balloon data of loudspeakers

3-D Presentation Room
The special lab serves the development of three dimensional audio visual systems.
- cross bar system with 80 flexible suspensions for loudspeakers

IOSONO® Demonstration Room
The permanently installed IOSONO sound system enables the further development of Wave Field Synthesis based spatial audio rendering technologies.

Measuring Lab
The state-of-the-art laboratory is used for objective electric and acoustical measurements of audio hardware and for the evaluation of quality under standardized conditions.
